WHAT DOES THE PRICE INCLUDE?
Price includes a fully equipped guided support team and transfer back to London from Shahjahan Mosque, Woking.
Participants will be responsible for bringing their lunch, snacks and drinks for the ride.
WHAT SORT OF BIKE DO I NEED?
Any bike will be good for the ride to Shahjahan Mosque, although a hybrid or touring bike will be ideal as there is a significant part of the ride that takes place off road along the Thames. However, a road bike will still be a very good option for the ride.
HOW MUCH SPENDING MONEY WILL I NEED?
This is entirely up to you. You should only need cash for incidentals such as additional food and drink.
HOW DO I FOLLOW THE ROUTE?
You will be sent details of the route shortly before the event starts. The ride is fully accompanied by a team of experienced cyclists who will be guiding you the entire way and additionally, vehicle support.
HOW DO I GET BACK TO LONDON WITH MY BICYCLE?
The support team will provide transfer back to London with your bicycle. However, if you want to get home quickly, we recommend taking the train from Woking Station one stop into London Waterloo Station. This train journey is 25mins and is far quicker than the transfer by minibus.
WHEN DO I HAVE TO SUBMIT MY SPONSORSHIP MONEY?
We ask that all sponsorship monies are sent to us no later than 14th June 2014 (six weeks after the ride). The easiest way to pay in your money and keep track of your fundraising total is by creating an online fundraising page with JustGiving.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM THE EVENT?
This event is for adventurous individuals looking to take on a challenge and take away a memorable experience. The event is not competitive although you will need to train for it. We may split the group according to ability but everyone will receive the support stated.
It is open to everyone whether this is your first bicycle challenge or you are a seasoned pro looking to meet other fellow cyclists like yourself!
HOW FIT DO I HAVE TO BE?
People with all levels of fitness are invited, although if you do not cycle frequently that you take adequate measures to train for the event. If you need training tips or advice we will be happy to help. If you have any worries about your health, please consult your doctor before signing up.
HOW MUCH DO I HAVE TO RAISE?
We ask that each participant raise at least £300. Our dedicated fundraising team will be on hand to help you reach your fundraising target with ideas and advice throughout your training period. Every penny raised goes towards education in the UK and abroad that will hopefully create a generation of inspirational leaders.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
A deposit of £30 is required at time of entry and the remainder of the cost covered by The Seekers’ Quest, providing a minimum of £300 is raised for the cause. This money covers most of the costs involved in the ride. Entry includes all food and drink during the ride, BBQ and return transfer to London.
