BICYCLE
We will happily permit any bicycle to join us for the ride! We strongly advise that you service your bike prior to the ride to make sure everything is in working order.
If you do not have a bicycle, we can facilitate bicycle hire upon request.
HELMET AND CYCLE CLOTHING
A helmet is compulsory. Without it the guides will not permit you to ride.
As the ride is taking place during Spring, the weather could change at short notice. Please pay attention to the weather forecast prior to the event and dress accordingly. We anticipate it to be a cold morning, so we recommend wearing no less than 2 layers of clothing.
We highly recommend wearing padded shorts as you will be in the saddle for up to 5 hours.

CYCLING EQUIPMENT
Every rider will be responsible for carrying the necessary parts for their bicycle should a repair need to take place. Mechanics will be on hand with tools. However, the equipment will have to be provided by the participant. In the case of punctures, every rider is urged to bring with them additional inner tubes and a patch kit for their bicycle. Cyclists should have a small hand pump to hand as a precaution.
HYDRATION
There are typically two options:
Participants should come to the event properly hydrated and then carry no less than 2 litres of fluids for the ride.
